We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited information with an advertising partner so we can measure whether our ads are working, and privacy laws in California and several other states treat that kind of sharing as a sale. This page is where you turn it off.

What is shared, and with whom

When advertising measurement is on, our pages load the Meta advertising pixel. It sets cookies in your browser and reports to Meta that a visit or an action happened here, together with limited technical data such as your IP address, browser, and the page you were on.

We never send Meta your recipe text, your email address, or your account details. We turn off the pixel’s automatic collection features, so it reports only the name of the step you reached and never reads what you typed into a form. The pixel measures whether the ads we pay for reach people who find the tool useful. It is the only advertising technology on the site.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request on its own. You do not have to visit this page, click anything, or create an account. When that signal is present the advertising pixel never loads at all.

What opting out does and does not change

• It stops the advertising pixel right away. We switch off the pixel already running on the page, delete the cookies it set, and load nothing further. It stays off on every later visit in this browser.
• It does not log you out or break anything. Every part of the product works exactly the same.
• It does not turn off our own analytics. We still use privacy-preserving, cookieless product analytics to understand which features get used. Those are first-party and are not shared with advertisers. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
• It is stored in this browser. Clearing site data, or switching browser or device, means setting it again there. Global Privacy Control travels with your browser and does not have that limitation.

Other privacy rights

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request a copy, and to ask us to delete it. Email saltandtemper@gmail.com and we will respond as the law requires. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
