What it is
Fits Your Macros, often called IIFYM, is flexible dieting. Rather than banning foods, you aim to hit your protein, fat, and carbohydrate targets from whatever foods you enjoy.
It suits people who want structure around the numbers but freedom in the ingredients, and who find strict food rules hard to sustain.
How Salt & Temper interprets it
Fits Your Macros uses a balanced split of roughly 30 percent protein, 30 percent fat, and 40 percent carbohydrates, at your recipe's current calorie level.
There are no anchors and no food rules. The engine simply hits the gram targets while keeping the dish coherent.
How we re-engineer your recipe
We adjust amounts and make sensible swaps to land on your macro targets, without steering toward or away from any food group.
This is the most flexible option, and a good default when you care about the numbers more than the style.
Good to know
- Flexible does not mean unstructured. The macro targets still do the work.
- Whole foods and fiber still matter for how you feel, even when any food can fit the numbers.
